Agricultural social media management

In January I took on a client to look after their social media, the business sells front mounted rotary rakes for any crop that you’d bale.

Simon is the owner of Abimac UK, which is the machinery selling side of his business. He is also a contractor and farmer, rearing pigs on a bed and breakfast system, which is the reason he wanted to hire someone to work on the social media for the rakes.

I have known Simon for a few years after seeing the front rake at a show, I spoke to him about doing a feature on the machine. We have kept in touch since, and in 2024 he was talking about hiring someone to increase the social traffic, and spend less on going to physical shows.

I had limited experience in social media management, only looking after my own. so far it’s been going well, I took on the Facebook page and instagram accounts, and I prepare posts and send them to Simon so he can easily upload to TikTok.

The Facebook page has gone from 3000 followers to 15.5 thousand since January, and even had a few posts go over a million views, the brand awareness has been measurable with enquiries in the first three months of the year taking a noticeable uptick from the previous year.

Part of what I offer Simon is the ability to go out and see machines working, gathering footage and using that media to increase the traffic to his page.

I’ll also be doing customer testimonials for him, and posting videos to his Youtube channel.

I have the equipment and ability to take high quality photographs and video of the product you sell, and the knowledge of agricultural equipment to be able to create meaningful content.

Here’s the Facebook page I’ve been looking after…

12 million views in 182 days is respectable for a company with one product!
