Photo Booth Hire

Photo booth for a party or special occasion.

If you are thinking about hiring a Photo booth for your wedding or party, then look no further. My Photo booth was designed and built by me after looking at lots of other systems, It takes up 2 meters square of floor space and is open and large, there is no climbing in and out and nothing to trip on after a couple of shandies.

My booth has a unique point in that the backdrop can be changed or dressed for your occasion to give it that personal feel, or removed completely if you have a location or view that you want in the pictures… sofa booth or maybe you have a chair and cat like Mr Blofeld.

Which ever way you want it, I’ll have a bag of props… hats, glasses mustaches and whatever else catches my eye!

The cost of hire is €375 for the booth and a disc. I also upload the images to my Facebook business page for all of your friends to see, download, copy, print and whatever else.(unless requested not to)  the pictures will be up online before you the next day.(all pictures are edited, just incase there is something on show that shouldn’t be!)

I can also print onsite from the photo booth with 6×4 prints included at €650, I can accommodate corporate clients who may wish for guests to purchase their own prints and reduce the cost of booth hire but still have printing.

Vikki’s Bokwa shoot

Vikki is a friend of mine, she started doing some serious looking training a while ago. I didnt ask to many questions about this as I thought she was just getting into shape for her own benefit…. Wow I was way off the mark!

She had being studying as hard as she was training, now she is a qualified Bokwa instructor!

Bokwa is not really a dance workout,  there is no choreography and no counting steps. Participants draw letters and numbers with their feet, while moving together to music in free form rhythm.

Vikki asked me to photograph the class of kids of varying ages, and to take her fitness instructor headshot for her facebook business page too.

The class looked like good fun and the children taking part seemed to be able to pick up the moves easily, it’s a high energy high impact workout. But it seems to be focusing on the enjoyment factor and the exercise happens without you thinking about it to much, the class gives you something to think about without making it complicated.

The classes appeal to people of any level of fitness and age, and looks like it would be great for people starting out on their fitness or folks that could run a marathon alike, cardio and strength can be dramatically improved by this type of workout…. get Bokwa fit!

Vikki will be teaching in the Balbriggan and Stamullen area and expanding as business and popularity of Bokwa grows across Ireland.

Storybook Wedding album

I have just received my lovely books from Loxley Colour to show some of my work off, the coffee table book is the large one.  The print and binding quality are nothing short of what I would expect  from any top notch publisher.

I also delivered a Bellissimo Classico album to a couple last week who’s wedding I shot in Dunboyne Castle, they were over the moon with it and with the set of mini albums they ordered to give to close family members as keepsakes of the day.

I prefer to use the Loxley albums as the finish and presentation is first class, the Classico storybook albums come in a stunning presentation box to protect it from dust and handling.

The software Loxley supply users with works really well, I always sit down and design your album so it does tell the story of your day. I take it personally when doing this because when I photograph your wedding day and you choose the pictures I remember when they were taken and what was happening, so if I put two images next to each other it’s for a reason not just because the colours match.

Check out these beautiful books and albums, they really are such nice things to handle both the coffee table book and the album lay flat when open so they are really easy to hold, Shane and Deborah asked me to add extra pages to their album to take it from ten spreads and twenty pages, upto  twenty spreads and forty pages, and it was still really nice to handle.

The storybook wedding albums I produce for clients are as personal as taking the pictures, when you show the book to a friend or family it is as much a representation of me as the pictures in it, so I make double sure it’s right before I click ‘order’

You can see more images of the albums here:-

Old family pictures

A friend called me a while ago and said, ‘Ken I have a few old family pictures and I was wondering if you could scan them and make them digital for me’ So I  said yes no problem I have a good scanner that can scan Negatives and prints.

Anyway it was a nice job to be handed such a huge chunk of family history and I was flattered to be given the responsiblity,  being able to see the good times they had as kids when life was a bit simpler.

I scanned as many negatives as I could as they retain more information than the prints, but they do damage easily and some of them were older than me looking at the format, 127 film in some cases… they were my favourite images.

I tried to be careful with the images and not over correct them or over retouch as I love the look of the old prints.

1007 images later I said they were finished, next time someone says a few I’ll check what a few is!

Enjoy…

Shane & Deborah Branigan’s Wedding at Dunboyne Castle

Shane and Deborah’s wedding came to me through a friend referal which is a nice way to get work, I had photographed Shane’s sister and her family a while ago, and when Shane popped the question they asked to see some of my work.

After meeting the couple, and visiting the stunning Dunboyne Castle Hotel I put a plan together of how I would work on the day. It was to be a civil ceremony and everything would take place in the hotel, with it being an October wedding I was glad about this!

The Day before was Glorious, but we weren’t blessed with the weather… so we worked hard to get some nice pictures inside the beautiful Dunboyne Castle hotel for Shane and Deborah.

Like I said the weather was poor on the day but I had been to the hotel to do my recce and made sure I had plenty of different locations to use should the day be wet outside, the hotel has a nice mix of new and old so it was easy to get plenty of different looking images.

We did manage to sneak 10 minutes out in the cold and grey, and managed to get some lovely shots in the soft failing light at the end of the day.

I always ask the couple for permission to use the images of their day on my site, most people are glad for them to be used but sometimes people would rather not and I respect that, Shane and Deborah were happy for me to use their pictures in my post, so here they are…. I hope you enjoy them.
